Perhaps you simply want to keep up with your grandkids and/or partner.

A plan is essential. A plan serves to hold you accountable. Accountability is essential to ensure you keep on track with your exercise routine and healthy eating habits. This helps you to not overdo it or burn out. Sometimes, we get too excited about trying new things that we end up doing way too much. This usually leads to us going back ten steps. Get a trainer and plan your day. Set short-term and long-term goals. You should have ways to measure your success. Keep track of your starting weight. You should set a pace. Don’t forget to get your rest. You can use a fitness tracker or a phone sleep tracker. You can set a wake up call to get ready for bed.
3. Get it up
Even if your habits are strong, it is important to change your exercise routine and diet. You will avoid getting bored and your body will be more balanced. It is important to work on all muscles groups and address all your nutrition needs.
4. Get one Workout as your “Extra”
Choose an activity that you enjoy and practice it. Your planned workouts can be used to aid you in achieving your fitness goals and help you achieve them. Your activity can be used to improve your mental and social health. It can be used as a way to do something that’s not working, or to fulfill some other obligation.
5. Get out of your comfort zone with Diet

You can also find accountability partners in real life, such as walking buddies or gym friends. There are many options for meetups. You can choose one or several.
7. Take a look at the Part
A new or old favorite outfit makes us feel happier. It doesn’t matter if you are working out. There is nothing worse than showing up to the gym in uncomfortable shorts or leggings. It doesn’t matter if the pants are too tight or loose, it can ruin your mood. You can find a brand that suits you and then make an investment to save you the hassle of searching for workout clothes. ASOS and Fabletics are some of our favorites online retailers. Nordstrom rack is another. Shoes are the same. Sometimes I order eight pairs of shoes in two sizes and then try them all. 8. Set a goal
Choose something that interests you. Start looking for apps like AllTrails to find hikes near you. Consider doing a Camino and watching The Way to get inspiration. You can also join a Facebook group to create a plan. You can do a triathlon if you are looking for a plan or trainer online. My daughter is not a runner, but she wanted to run a marathon. Her sister, who is a runner, has never done it. She started by choosing a half-marathon, and then decided to go for a full marathon. She found a partner at the same level and started to do it. You’ll find so many new activities to explore, and it will be a benefit to have some training to complement them.
9. Get into the groove
Although we should vary our diet and exercise routines, it is still important to have a regular routine. A routine can include a variety of activities. Make a plan for your health and fitness. It is important to write it down. Set reminders on your smartphone. Create a reward system. Your routine should be something you enjoy. If you’re usually tired, don’t try to exercise in the evenings. You need to plan your meals so you can exercise and eat. Your health and fitness should be as important as brushing your teeth.
10. What moves you?
Are you able to listen to music, a book, or a podcast? Are you able to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of this place? These things will help you be more successful in your workouts. You will be more successful if you do what you love. There are many workout song playlists. Libby allows you to get free books from the library. Audible offers more choices and is affordable. If you don’t already have a dog, get one. It will make your dog happy to run or walk with you. My dog even enjoys watching me exercise or do yoga. As if he is cheering you on. Our purpose should be constantly evolving. Wellness is no exception. As we age, we need to be more aware of our lifestyles. We have many options online, so we don’t lack for ideas. There are many more options for us. Do not be afraid of starting a plan to improve your health. This uncertain period is a time to make sure you have a plan for your life. You will be happier and healthier if you have a plan. You will have something to be focused on and something that you can control.
